It is famous for the river with the same name that travels along the north, where Botswana borders the neighboring Namibia. If you want to stay overnight in the park, you can use one of the camping facilities located at Savuti, Serondela or Linyati. The wildlife here is unique and it represents one of the main reasons for which this park is so famous and often visited. Animals tend to reside near the river, where they find water and plenty of food. Sometimes, when the Savuti Marshes get flooded, the wildlife sees a growth in population, especially due to the many water birds that love to stop here. Its main attraction is the population of elephants, which is the largest on the entire continent. Besides admiring the majestic animals, there are other activities to enjoy in Chobe National Park. Many creatures call this park home.

The area on which the park stretches is very large, and Chobe National Park occupies the second largest area on the African continent.

To gain access to the park, you can use the northern entrance, which can be found west of Kasane. You can drive into the park with a regular vehicle; however, it’s recommended to have a rough terrain vehicle.

History teaches us that the animals here grew in large numbers during the 19th century. When the Europeans arrived in search for big game, they provided the locals with guns to hunt the animals and exchange them for goods obtained by the European travelers.

The first commercial logging facilities were established here after the Second World War. Due to this, the vegetation along the river started to degrade, and the mills that operated here finally closed. It took several years for the trees to grow again, and the area became a game reserve preventing anyone from cutting the trees or hunting down the animals living here. In 1968 the area was named the Chobe National Park.

There are some lodges inside the park, where you can stay overnight, for a very affordable price. For instance, Chobe Safari Lodge is situated on the riverfront and has a restaurant on-site.

Another lodge situated on the riverfront is Muchenje Safari Lodge, where you can use the dining area for eating what you bring with you. The lodge staff serves vegetarian cuisine, and theme dinners are also organized from time to time.

A more plush accommodation is offered by Chobe Chilwero, where the local restaurant serves European cuisine, as well as African. The views of the river from your room are truly amazing.

Known better as Amdavad to locals, Ahmedabad is not only the capital but also the largest city in Gujarat. Initially named Ahmedabad by its founder, Ahmed Shah, it was given a Gujarati touch as Amdavad. The original name is however retained and is official. While the industries have seen boom here, it has come up with some of the world’s best educational institutes too. Ahmedabad is well known with its ties with the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The Gandhi Ashram is one of the most popular places here.

Known better as Amdavad to locals, Ahmedabad is not only the capital but also the largest city in Gujarat. Initially named Ahmedabad by its founder, Ahmed Shah, it was given a Gujarati touch as Amdavad. The original name is however retained and is official. Ahmedabad has always been a successful commercial center and has now become the Manchester of India. While the industries have seen boom here, it has come up with some of the world’s best educational institutes too.

Ahmedabad is well known with its ties with the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The Gandhi Ashram is one of the most popular places here. Started by Gandhi, it intended to serve as a starting point for his legendary Dandi March. The Ashram is now a museum and showcases Gandhi memorabilia and pictures. Another historical monument here is the Bhadra Fort, built by Ahmed Shah, the founder of the city. It now houses some government offices.

The Sidi Syed mosque here is another major tourist attraction here and is named after its architect who was a slave of Emperor Ahmed Shah. It is flocked by Hindus and Muslims and alike. The mosque is striking with its delicate screen work. Some masterpieces of filigree works were also a part of the mosque, but are now a part of the Delhi National Museum. Ahmed Shah also founded the Jama Masjid or the Friday Mosque here. The architecture has Hindu and Jain elements too.

The world renowned Akshardham Temple is also present in Ahmedabad. Sprawling across 23 acres of land, the temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, the founder of the Swaminarayan faith, who professes love and non-violence. The Hari Mandapam houses the main idol which is 7 feet tall and is covered with gold. The Vibhuti Temple here preserves the teachings by the saint and has etched his revelation in brass and glass. International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Temple is also there. With an aim to promote the message of Krishna the followers here conduct various activities and maintain a serene and calm atmosphere here.

Some other noteworthy places here include the Jhulta Minara and the Veechar Utensil Museum. The Jhulta Minara is a wonder of architecture and is made to sway on application of pressure. Serving as minarets to the Siddi Basir mosque, these minars vibrate but are strong enough to survive it. Attached to the Vishalla Restaurant, the Veechar Utensil Museum here is another tourist attraction and is one of its kinds. It houses thousands of utensils from across the country. The fact that it is a personal collection of Mr. Surendra Patel makes it more interesting.

Home to some of the best educational institutes in the world Ahmedabad has the Indian Institute of Management and the Nirma University here. While the IIM excels most b-schools in the country and all over the world, the Nirma University too has earned world recognition.

Known for its excellent fabrics, Ahmedabad is a great place to shop for clothes and materials. Gujarati work materials and dresses make for the best buys here. Tie-and-dye work, zari and embroidery are a craze with women. While the city has innumerable emporiums selling out the best of stuff, the state run emporiums are great places to get authentic goods at cheap prices.

At the time Amin took over power from president Obote, Uganda’s economy was booming to the African standard but after the expulsion of foreigners in Uganda, the economy went down completely and Uganda was put under trade embargo thus making Ugandans vulnerable to starvation.
Had it not been for Uganda’s fertile soils, Ugandans were to die like cockroaches.

Not withstanding Amins negative deeds many Ugandans and Africans supported him. This was seen by the time when he expelled the Asians. Many Uganda took over business and that why all fields that were managed by these expelled Asians were filled by Ugandans and today a big percentage of Business in Uganda is under the indigenous Ugandans thus many Ugandans praise Amin for chasing away the Asians.

After many Ugandan trying to overthrow Amin and failed, he was overthrown By Tanzanian forces supported by some Ugandan who were exiled by amin. What happened was more terror to Uganda under the leader ship of Obote 2.
This is what force many Ugandans to go to the bush and fought the guerrilla war that lasted for more than 5 years.

At present, Uganda is among the fastest developing countries of Africa thanks to Uganda president Mr. Museveni who stopped the reign of terrow and encourages the return of Asians and new investors.

And to the side of tourism, it is back to its fullest because Uganda as a pearl of Africa has everything you will ever think to look at before you die. But don’t forget to know that all these were forgotten at the time of Amin as the president of Uganda.

Beer is very much loved by locals and tourists. You can always try out the traditional brands, but international names are also available.

A popular night location in Tel Aviv is Betty Ford. Here you can enjoy a proper meal served by a wonderful and friendly staff as well as fine drinks. You will find this restaurant on Nahalat Binyamin and be impressed with the high standards the place imposes.

If you are just looking for a watering hole you will find many other bars. It is incredible how many people enjoy the nightlife in Tel Aviv, and if you like a crowd there is no better place to be than on Allenby Street when you can enjoy socializing with other tourists and travelers.

M.A.S.H. is another great bar in Tel Aviv and many people that like to enjoy a drink or two often find it perfect. It is situated on Dizengoff Street and its name actually stands for More Alcohol Served Here. The place even has history, as it was founded back in the ‘80s when not many pubs were opened in Tel Aviv.

Abraxas is another place you may want to visit at night while in Tel Aviv. Here you can enjoy an old game of pool and the laid back atmosphere will make you feel at ease. The bar is also very convenient for people that find accommodation on Lillenblum Street as it is very close to this location.

The nightlife in Tel Aviv does not disappoint. These are just a few of the most popular bars and restaurants you can try. Do not forget to bring plenty of money with you though as the drinks are quite expensive in some places.
